A video source is a unique list of channels (and their tuning
information) available on an input.

If 2 inputs have the exact same list of channels and tuning information
(i.e. the channels come from the same physical source--an antenna or a
cable connection or whatever) you should use the same video source for
both. If, instead, you had different channels available on different
inputs or you required different tuning information to tune them (i.e.
OTA channels tuned with a digital capture card and the same OTA channels
tuned with an HDTV converter box and captured with an analog encoder),
you'd need different video sources.

So, in your case, you'll need 2 video sources, as you thought.
