What are you reading from HD, CD, USB disk.  What interface ide, sata, 
scsi?  scsi...  LOLZ, ignore the last one.  If you're getting these 
types of numbers from a hard disk it's generally related to the wrong 
chipset driver for the sata/ide interface being used.  Did you compile a 
custom kernel or did you use the default.  What version/distribution are 
you using?  What kernel version, what motherboard/chipset?
