I have found this to be a minor irritant as well, but not enough to stress
about before now.  Recently I started building mythplugins with only
mythvideo (which is really the only plugin I actually use), and it stopped
asking.

So it would seem it's a non-mythvideo plugin that's responsible for the
pervasive prompt.

Just a very non-deterministic observation.
