Hmmm?  That is exactly what squash(ing) prevents you from needing to
know.  You squash them all to the NFS server's mythtv uid/gid and
you're done.  Then it does not matter what they are elsewhere.

Exactly why the uid/gid mappings/squashings exist in NFS code.
There's no way in a large environment (99.999% of college campuses
come to mind) that they are going to match the uid/gid and username
assignments  :)
