    What you are watching is not going to benefit from the extra resolution
of this panel. Under ideal conditions you will be taking low res content and
scaling it. I think that you would be fine with what you have and just letting
MythTV manage running on whatever resolution your card and panel can handle.

    You should be able to just use what you have as is.
