[mythtv-users] Help! stopped recording on all multiplexes except '2' and 'B'

If anyone could shed some light on this I would be very grateful.

Mythtv version 0.23-fixes (up to date). This is a UK system using the
Midhurst transmitter. The server has 3 Nova-T PCI cards and these are
all working.

This Myth system has been running for about 7 years with gradual updates
(compiled).

Over the last couple of months recordings have gradually been failing.
The recording actually takes place, but the file is not created and
cannot subsequently be found.

Here are some salient points:

1. I can watch live TV, with pause, on all channels and the programs are
dutifully recorded. To test all three cards, I have watched live TV on
three separate multiplexes simultaneously.

2. With scheduled recordings, most channels seem to fail, with the
exception of 'FIVE'(ch5), 'Virgin1'(ch20) and 'BBC FOUR'(ch9).

3. There are no obvious problems anywhere in the system. Browsing the
MySql tables shows that everything ties up fine.

4. This is reproducible at any time: I can set a program to record in
the next few minutes and watch the mythbackend.log. Nothing shows up as
an error except for the missing file.

5. The last time BBC ONE record was Dec.09.2010.

The frequencies I am using have been unchanged for quite some time, but
they seem to work fine when viewing live TV. For Midhurst they are
754000000, 826000000, 802000000, 778000000, 818000000, 78600000. I can't
see anywhere that the offset is specified - most of these should have a
0.167 +ve offset.

Amazing: as I was writing this it said it was recording Top Gear, but
the log said it couldn't find the file. Then, a few minutes later,
the .jpg showed up, and the file was suddenly there!

What is going on?

Have checked file systems etc., all fine.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
