Now that you mention it I have noticed many of the Disney based DVD's
are very troublesome.... and with kid's DVD's they are the ones that
need backing up the most!  Those grubby little hands can really do
numbers on physical media!

You bring up a question though... why doesn't Mythtv tread disks more
like a console DVD player?  If VLC does it that way is there a reason
why Myth doesn't?
