The simplest and easiest is to get a friend.

You each have a second array at the others house (eSATA boxes are
getting cheap to put in 4x sata drives on a single port), and run
dirvish or backuppc to sync the important data to the other persons house.

Once you do an initial sync (locally if possible) the diffs should be
rather simple and short with rsync.
