I have a couple of more experiment results:

Vlc raw dumps, sniff of vlc dump, and sniff of the mediaroom box watching stream of channel 4(CICC CTV) and channel 51(Discovery)

One thing I did notice was that I was getting the same 10.100***** address assigned to the macbook as the mediaroom was getting, and also that it was getting an IPv6 address as well.
