You only need to download (or manually create) a configuration file
for the repository, after which you can run yum and enable the remi
repo on a per-run basis. No patching of yum or apt is necessary. The
configuration download [1] from Remi's repo contains the config files
and GPG key (as with atrpms.net config download).
