If you can live with not using VDPAU, then I'd say keep it. It seems to 
work fine for me when playing most content this way. If you need 1080i/p 
.mkv or good quality deinterlacing, then the CPU will probably not be 
able to handle it without VDPAU, and the result will be jerkiness. 
Remember, this is a dual-core machine, so it can do fairly well without 
VDPAU.

I've been spending what little free time I have in the evenings trying 
to put together a complete distro in a single file for the nVidia guy to 
test with. I'm going to send that first for him to test on his hardware; 
failing that, I'll send him my Foxconn box.
