Atom is the processor, ION is a marketing name for Atom + nVidia 9400.  Mike
was suggesting that you not purchase either, but rather spec out a system
similar to the Mac Mini (and there are multiple others-- see the Dell Zino,
build your own, etc) to enjoy similarly low power use, hardware acceleration
if you want, and still maintain a functional processor when hardware decode
of video comes up short.
