Do the capture card portion of
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/264034#264034 (and do
/not/ do the video sources portion) and it will leave all your video
sources intact (and, therefore, all your channels unaffected). There's
no need to rescan, even. Then, follow Doug's advice.
Note, too, that it's actually the order you connect the inputs that's
important--not the order you add the capture cards. (Capture card order
affects Live TV, but input order affects recordings.) Most people
connect inputs in the same order they add capture cards, but you don't
have to. (Yes, feel free to re-read that--it does mean that you have a
huge amount of control over things. :)
