If you know your planned LiveTV times (eg. evenings 6-11pm), you can
set "Do not record this showing" for anything scheduled during those
times and for which re-runs exist.

How's your script-fu? :-) if you can't find a function in the python
bindings, curl and mythweb should be able to stand in.
