[mythtv-users] combined frontend/master backend can't connect to master backend server

Yes, I am running a combined BE/FE.

Router being powered off was certainly one condition.  Others were a faulty 114 
foot network cable that I had to replace and the last fault was a LAN port that 
actually stopped getting DHCP addresses, motherboard had to be repaired.


So yes, when you get this error, check your network connection, ping your 
router, try and connect from other local hosts on your network to your BE 
server.
