Well, that is what I was asking: who is the source and who is the
mirror.  I will switch to the PPA.

Hrm.  My Android tablet tells me when there is a firmware update and
asks me if I want to update.  Seems like a reasonable middle ground
between silently doing it on me and me never finding out.

Well, but it's not the mythtv.org update/upgrade that I'd be interested
in, but rather when that's available in mythbuntu.

Well, Mythbuntu has already added UI features to the project.  Perhaps
some kind of:

        There is an upgrade available...
        [x] Do not notify me of this upgrade again

type notification popup.  Just a thought.
