I got the white one on special a couple of months ago for $159. While it 
doesn't have SPDIF, it does support audio over HDMI. The lack of hard 
drive isn't a problem for me, as I'm netbooting.

The only big annoyance is that the BIOS limits the video RAM to 256 Mb 
when only 2 Gb main is installed. You have to install 4 Gb to get 512 Mb 
for video. Silly.
