Bill, these ideas all sound good.  Just wanted to give you a heads up, 
though, that we need the patches against the SGML (or if you're afraid 
to do that, then against the plain text) version of the HOWTO.  You 
should be able to figure out the SGML quite easily, though.  Everything 
(HTML, PDF, text) is generated from the SGML, so there's no need to 
patch the HTML.  See http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/24355

Oh, and thanks for the fixes you already submitted for #8407.
