TheGUIGuy,

As you have a DB backup that you mentioned in a later post, I'd just
stop the upgrade, restore the backup into the DB; re-run myth setup,
then start the frontend again.

I have to say taht the upgrade of the DB did take quite some minutes
(although obviously this isn't your problem seeing as 12 is more than
a little excessive).without any feedback of progress (possibly as I
didn't run it from the terminal); a visual indicator would be very
reassuring during such procedures.

what is the CPU utilsation of mythfrontend.real and mysqld?
