But the prescribed work-around you proposed is the same one that was proposed 
by others as a way to enable what I stated I was doing.

If you're saying it's not possible to do what I'm trying to do even if I 
employ the proposed configurations then I guess you're validating my point that 
new code is required to enable the functionality I'm describing.
