I am having the same problem and also have the OS and half my content on one
drive. I have my backend set to allow 2 processes at once. For a while, I
set the backend for only 1 process and I do not think I had the problem
during that time and only recently set it back to allow 2 processes. I know
the problem is in the playback because if I hit "back", it will play through
the troubled part without a problem. Please let me know how many backend
processes you have and if your moving the OS and Myth to a dedicated drive
solves the problem.
My system is Mythbunty 8.04 on an AMD 5400+ playing to a DVI driven 720p
display using BOB, which I don't think every does anything because of some
clock rate at 60.0001 being above 60 or something but that is a different
issue.
