I initially thought it might be leaves. What threw me onto the wrong track after
that was the breakup looking very different to on other PVRs and STBs, and also
the audio being unaffected.
TBH, those Hauppauge tuners were doing a great job. My aerial goes to our main
PVR, then to a splitter, then down about 25 metres of cable to where the backend
currently is, then through a dodgy UHF lead I had handy to yet another splitter!
Despite this, the picture was perfect until Emley Moor switched to the backup
transmitter.
I'll relocate the backend on Saturday, and also retire the old analogue DVD
player/recorder, geexbox media player and SCART matrix switch.
