No same libass issue. Also, I was logged into a different machine.
The ubuntu shipped mplayer does *not* have vdpau support. Sorry :)
I do so much on the fly transcoding on my other box though, I need all
of the other apps that break with JYAs repo currently.
As far as repo unavailable, have you maybe selected a mirror instead
of the default ubuntu repos? I have always found that during
alpha/beta, quite a few mirrors do not work. I have always had to use
the default repos (even though they are dog slow around these times of
newness) for this reason.
