Ok.. so you do have to go back to the settings and change them...
So changing the main device wouldn't be too different for you then...

Hopefully, by the time 0.24 is out, ALSA would easily support passthrough ..

Try getting the latest version of ALSA and try again...

I've seen setup with full audio support on the GT220..

Your TV however, will more than likely no support anything else but stereo PCM..
