I believe this is caused by the theme trying to load fanart that isn't
there. Running Jamu mostly alleviated the problem for me - scrolling
to a recording that had fanart became fast, but it was still slow for
the occasional show that didn't have any.

I ended up editing the theme I use to remove all the fanart from the
Watch Recordings screen.
