I have the Gyration KB and mouse and it works fine.

You also might look into the device Kodak is using for their "Theatre HD 
Player", it's a similar pointing device, doesn't need a surface and you 
control it more with your wrist than your arm movements.

The Theatre HD player was OK when I got it for $50 from Woot, but I would not 
pay $199 for it.
