No.  It would produce the result described above (and now, again, below):

Still only 8 hours.  Not 11.  Not 14.5.  In this case, it would result 
in 2 chunks of 8 hours and 6.5 hours each.  I'm guessing Mike's 
recording was an 8hr recording and he just didn't notice the difference 
between the recording length and the program length.  I'm simply trying 
to make sure people don't misconstrue how LiveTV works.

If a /test/ reveals that it is one Live TV recording >8hrs in length 
(and I said /recording/, not program), please let us know--ideally with 
some info on what makes it different from any other >8hr program in the 
guide.
