I'm using a pair of 1GB/800s, can't see any reason it wouldn't accept 4GB. I'd 
guess it would take slower RAM, most boards do these days.

I don't use SPDIF (still analog, sorry). I guess you could use USB IR stuff. 
I've gotten used to a small keyboard for control, so the F/E doesn't need IR.

For the price you get a nice HD frontend. You can get video players for half 
the price, but if you want a full HD frontend this seems to be the cheapest at 
present.

Of course you have to pay the Microsoft Tax.
