[mythtv-users] mythweb error after 0.22 upgrade (gentoo + lighttpd)

Hi, 

After a relatively smoothe upgrade for the mbe and front ends...(yes I
held off this late mainly for waf purposes and well 0.21 with JYA's
patches was working beautifully,  but removal of qt3 from gentoo forced
my hand)

I've searched through multiple posts and pages to try and fix this one
with no luck 

The message I am getting is;
Fatal error: Call to a member function query_col() on a non-object
in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/mythweb/modules/backend_log/init.php  on
line 19

So far I have followed instructions to;
* copied the _shared/tmpl/default folder to _shared/tmpl/tmpl
* Make sure the mythtv.conf file is correct 
* restored mythweather so that it is now working again 
* ensured permissions are all correct on the files
* even re-installed mythgame (which I used once a few years ago)

I understand from other posts this is probably to do with a module I may
once have had installed but am no longer using (or possibly haven't used
since upgrade maybe) but everyone elses issue appeared to be mythweb,
which I have working now. Is there a query I can run to find out what's
missing?

Is there something else I should look at?
