Yes, look at the mythrename.pl script in the contrib subdir of the source
tarball.  This script will create symlinks, after customizing, mine looks
like this:

./The Office
./The Office/2010-03-18,9-00PM,New Leads.mpg
./The Office/2009-09-24,9-00PM,The Meeting.mpg
./The Office/2009-12-03,9-00PM,Scott's Tots.mpg

./Caprica
./Caprica/2010-02-19,11-00PM,Gravedancing.mpg
./Caprica/2010-03-26,9-00PM,End of Line.mpg
./Caprica/2010-02-26,9-00PM,There Is Another Sky.mpg

OR

look into mythtvfs (http://outflux.net/software/pkgs/mythtvfs-fuse/) which
uses fuse (http://fuse.sourceforge.net/).
