[mythtv-users] Storage Group Questions

I have been working most of the day attempting to solve my jerky video that is
recorded on my slave machine. I found that by recording the programs to the
drive that is attached to the slave and not the master backend, that it
removed my jerky issues in the recordings.

Along with this I found the Storage Groups options in MythTV. I am trying to
figure out exactly what I need to do in order to get this working properly. I
can't tell if I need to export the recorded TV directory on the slave and then
mount it individually on each of the frontends or if I need to do something in
the master backend?

I have tried to watch the recorded show on one of the front ends and via
MythWeb and it will not work at all. Watching the recorded show on the slave
backend works just fine and watching it on the Master backend works "ok". I
say ok, because the playback on the master backend is very poor. I can't tell
if this is a network issue or not. Watching shows on the master that are
stored locally are just fine. Watching shows on any of the frontends where the
recordings are being served from the master again are just fine.

I should note that all frontends hard wired connections, not Wifi. The master
backend is running Ubuntu 8.04 and the slave is running Ubuntu 9.04.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am hoping to resolve this issue before the
evening as I have many overlaps tonight for recordings and I am going to have
issues if I can't get it resolved. :)

Thanks,
-Eric
