Patched that one module and gave it a try.
Now I am able to get a lock on channels that didn't work before!

# szap -a0 "ProSieben"
reading channels from file '/root/.szap/channels.conf'
zapping to 728 'ProSieben':
sat 0, frequency = 12544 MHz H, symbolrate 22000000, vpid = 0x01ff, apid
= 0x0200 sid = 0x445d
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
status 01 | signal f400 | snr de41 | ber 00000000 | unc fffffffe |
status 1f | signal f400 | snr ffaa | ber 00000000 | unc fffffffe |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal f400 | snr ffc1 | ber 00000000 | unc fffffffe |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal f400 | snr ffbd | ber 00000000 | unc fffffffe |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal f400 | snr ffb8 | ber 00000000 | unc fffffffe |
FE_HAS_LOCK

Sounds promising.

went on and readded that card to mythtv again, and tested recording
several channels ... horizontal and vertical ...

All test recordings worked fine (just some minutes/MBs, but anyway)!

I will testdrive this "in productive mode" now ;-)

I have some recordings scheduled, which overlap, so both dvb-adapters
should be used in parallel.

I will check back if it worked in a few hours when I am back here.

Thanks, Michel, for the pointer to that patch!

(( Question from a dummy: could that patch do damage somehow? ))

Stefan
