Hmm, might be, yes. I have to look up where I bought them and when. They
should both be still under warranty.

DVBS2 would mean switching LNB as well, correct?
I don't know if I want to take that step already.

I bought them a few months apart, but they look exactly the same ;-)
Serious: in lspci/dmesg they show the same revision etc.

They look the same to me ...

I *don't* use the drivers from the media-tv/v4l-dvb-hg-ebuild anymore,
for months.

The in-kernel drivers used to work fine here, on both adapters, I was
able to multirec etc.

It *could* be that one adapter silently failed some time ago, and I
didn't notice the real source of the problems until now.
