[mythtv-users] POLL *** How many people on the list are running UK combined Freeview and Freesat setups?

I've got a hauppauge dvb-t USB stick (single tuner dib0700), and a S650 Tevii USB dvb-s2 tuner on a combined front/backend atom/ion acer aspire revo. Its working pretty well so far - using JYAvenard's 0.21 + fixes jaunty repository with added VDPAU goodness.

I have told Myth that 10510 is actually ITV HD, so I can record but not live view. Using ffmpeg to convert the recording to mp4 (ffmpeg -i inputfile.mpg -acodec copy -vodec copy outputfile.mp4) then play using mythvideo. Sound sync is off a bit though on both recordings I've done this to (King Kong and Miami Vice) so maybe there is a better way of doing this.

Most of the SD recording rules I've set up don't specify the channel, so myth sorts itself out as to which tuner it uses to record what; it works well most of the time, though it does seem to like recording stuff twice when its on the +1 channels.

Getting channels into the satellite group was a mission, which required me to run scan first from a terminal then importing channels.conf into mythtv-setup afterwards. The standard setup only gets the individual multiplex frequency you specify; good if you are only interested in one particular channel but bad otherwise. Hopefully a fix in 0.22?
