Thanks very much for your help here. I went into the channels table on
mythconverg and set channel numbers for all the channels I could find valid
numbers for, and I have now been able to schedule recordings for two
programmes

Unfortunately, my first scheduled programme failed to record. The attached
is the log for the failure. I do not know enough of MythTV yet to be able to
