[mythtv-users] Mythbuntu 9.10 upgrade broke SPDIF

Robert,
    My only suggestions are to double check the in alsamixer that master 
and IEC959 volume is 100%.

Here is my ~/.asoundrc (back up yours before trying my settings)

## This is suppose to correct the issue that a AC3 Passthrough playback 
will kill
## PCM playback until a reboot
##
pcm.!default iec958

In my case I ONLY use the SPDIF for all sound output. Out side of those 
suggestions when sound does not work there is a million suggestions but 
few work.
