[mythtv-users] kernel update, 2.6.28-15 to -16, remote stops working

Hi -

Today I allowed mythbuntu to update the kernel from 2.6.28-15 to
2.6.28-16. When I reboot into the new kernel, the mythtv interface
doesn't respond to the remote control (it does respond to keyboard).
When I reboot into the older kernel the remote works fine.

Everything else is the same, and the grub entries have the same
options (listed below). I've rebooted a few times into each and the
pattern is totally consistent. When running in the newer kernel, the
lircd process is still present as is the device /dev/lirc0 . dmesg
doesn't have any entries containing "lirc". Remote is hauppauge
Nova-T500.

Anyone seen this? Or know how to diagnose/fix?
