[mythtv-users] No sound on WMV's?

What format is the audio data in the wmv file? Maybe you are missing
libs for that audio codec. For instance, on my system I had no sound
for AC3 audio tracks until I installed some libraries, and I had to
custom compile them with certain flags (just using the packages
installed by apt didn't do it).
