Hi all,

Recently, something happened on my MythTV system and sound from any analog (PVR-250) recordings
stopped working. I say stopped working because I can't think of a single thing that could have caused it.
It used to work fine. Then I went away on a business trip for a while during which my system was auto-starting,
doing the recordings, and then shutting down. When I came back, things didn't work.

I have sound setup through my S/PDIF connector and I have MythTV configured to do AC3 passthrough
for any digital sound. This works fine because I am able to get sound from LiveTV through my HDHR and
for any recordings done through the HDHR.
However, when I switch to LiveTV through any of the PVR-250's (I have 3), there is no sound. The same
happens for recordings done by the PVRs and any videos that don't have digital sound.

I have attached an alsa-info.txt file with all the ALSA information.

The sound settings in my MythTV configuration are the following:
AudioOutputDevice: ALSA:default
PassThruOutputDevice: ALSA:iec958:{ AES0 0x02 }
MixerDevice: ALSA:default
MixerControl: PSM

One thing that I noticed is that running:
aplay -D iec958 <sound file>
does not produce any sound. Neither does:
aplay <sound file>

The commands don't error out. They run and complete successfully. There's just no sound.

I am running an up-to-date FC10 machine with kernel 2.6.27.37-170.2.104.fc10.x86_64.

Any idea will be very helpful? Thank you
