Upmix: Passive
Enable AC3 to SPDIF passthrough checked
Enable DTS to SPDIF passthrough checked
Aggressive sound card buffering off

You might also try this for asound.conf

  pcm.!default {
     type plug
     slave.pcm "spdif"
  }
