If mounted with actimeo=0 or noac, try actimeo=1 (or 5--either of which 
may cause LiveTV problems, but, meh, it's LiveTV).  Some have reported 
that has a big effect.  (Or, just get rid of the NFS mounts of your 
recordings dirs--which won't have any detrimental effects on LiveTV or 
recordings.)
