Just as another data point, I picked up one of the 2TB green drives from WD
a few months ago. It was great to have so much space, but almost immediately
the drive started failing. I was seeing reallocated sectors all the time. I
did get a warrantly replacement and that one has been great ever since. I
use it for movies and music, not for recordings so there might be less wear
on the drive but I'm very happy with it.
