[mythtv-users] JAMU slowness?

I was hoping to help diagnose why it is excruciatingly slow to use
jamu to get movie metadata. I'm sure there's a logical explanation,
but I also wanted to see if it's just me or if this is common among
others. I'm trying to fetch metadata, fanart, posters, etc for my
movie collection and have been playing with Jamu. However, it's
ALWAYS slow for me, regardless of time, day, etc. Also, if I go to
themoviedb.org, it seems to respond quickly when navigating the site
and manually downloading art. While I'm not saying that all is fine
with the site, outword appearances seem to indicate it's working fine.

For example, I used a stopwatch with lap times to see how long it took
to retrieve the data for one movie.

1: From Launch of app - to skipping of non video files: ~21 seconds
2: From skipping of non video files - to "Updating (Movie Name)": ~8 seconds
3: From "Updating (Movie Name) - to "Added a Poster For (Movie Name)":
~ 73 seconds
4: From "Added a Poster for (Movie Name)" - to "At least (rating)
needs updated": ~ 28 seconds
5: From "At least (rating) needs updated" - to "Updated Mythdb for
video file": ~34 seconds

One movie lookup took about 2.75 mins. Not a LONG time, but I've seen
some movies take up to 4-5 mins as well. On IRC, a few folks said it
should take "several seconds", but several minutes? Is that normal?

I did this for a few different movies, and this was actually an
example of one of the faster ones. I've been trying for about 3 days
now. I'm assuming it could definitely be something with the grabber,
or the API, or the site, but just wanted to see if anyone else is
seeing this kind of slowness with movie lookups while using jamu.

Thanks!
Matt
