[mythtv-users] jamu and dvd folders

I get it that Jamu doesn't do DVD rips...  I've read this:

I don't understand how to be successful in a mass update where I have a
master folder of mixed single file movies (.AVIs) and DVD (backup rip)
folders.

Can someone throw together a brief example of their folder structure and
how to use Jamu for mass update?  (I'm still trying to rebuild my media
library after a move to 0.22)
