[mythtv-users] Performance of frontend on OSX?

Hi,
I'm trying to persuade my old Mac Mini, G4 1.25Ghz with 1Gb ram and
OSX 10.4.11 to run a Myth frontend.
I've downloaded the latest Myth 0.21 fixes frontend from David
Snider's site (thanks David) 20091109 I think it is.

The frontend does run but the performance when playing back video
seems rather poor?
It looks like it is dropping a block of frames every half second or
more, its hard to describe.

Do you think this is that the Mac is just not up to the job or do you
think I should try another build?
