[mythtv-users] Boot weirdness on Mythbuntu 9.10 [50% SOLVED]

Thank you for responding.

One of the links you provided helped me solve the update manager
problem. All I had to do was run this from the command line:
x11vnc -safer -localhost -nopw -once -display :0

Now I don't get the update manager coming up every time I reboot.

The login screen problem remains. It seems to be a bug with no
workaround currently available.

I've posted into a bug report on Launchpad and hope to hear back about
it soon.
