That's odd. My old myth box was an Asus Eee box (1.6GHz atom, 945 GME, Mythbuntu 9.04) and that played SD TV (DVB) without qualms*. The new Aspire Revo though, with VDPAU, knocks spots off it.

* once I'd disabled deinterlacing anyway. My TV does that for me :)
