[mythtv-users] Fedora 9 with a Hauppauge HVR-1600

I have a pair of HVR-1600, and recognition has been a bit dicey. 
Sometimes all is well, and sometimes it's recognized as a dumb video 
card, and I have to force it to look like an mpeg2 card.  When that 
happens, I have to force every setting, but it runs when I'm done.

And as Matt Beardon says, check that all is well on your dmesg.  Look 
for my name or his on the video4linux list, and there will be good and 
bad listings there for you to compare.
