For my money, trunk is completely useless, many of the plugins do not 
work yet and the stability is horrible. I tried to use it a couple of 
weeks ago and its definitely not ready for prime time. I feel its going 
to be a year or more before its ready for release.

As part of switching to VDPAU I set up trunk, mythdora patched from the 
atrpms repo and mythbuntu with Jean's patched ubuntu repo. Trunk was by 
far the worst, taking 3-5 times longer to watch tv or do most anything 
with the the parts of the gui that worked at all, mythdora was very 
unstable on my setup, locking up at least twice a day. Mythbuntu  has 
proven to be quite stable and has not hung or missed a recording in a 
week now. Of course there is not too much of the origional mythbuntu 
setup left but it makes a great place to start customizing.
