[mythtv-users] HDPVR & 1080i streams

I love the look of HDPVR recordings/LiveTV at 1080i, but I can't stand the
ping-pong effect the frontend has when RingBuffer files switch or the HDPVR
stops and restarts encoding. I'm sure many people have seen these in their
logs:

2009-05-20 20:03:21.436 NVP: Video is 30 frames behind audio (too slow),
dropping frame to catch up.
2009-05-20 20:03:21.450 NVP: Video is 30 frames behind audio (too slow),
dropping frame to catch up.
2009-05-20 20:03:21.464 NVP: Video is 30 frames behind audio (too slow),
dropping frame to catch up.
2009-05-20 20:03:21.520 NVP: Video is 30 frames ahead of audio,
doubling video frame interval to slow down.

And it's impossible to fix it most times until you exit and re-enter the
recording or LiveTV. At this point I'm simply looking for a hack to stop
this. I don't care if it's a good fix or not as long as it works. Maybe a
solution would be to skip the number of frames it's behind all at once
instead of one frame at a time? Maybe something different? Has anyone played
with this??

Thanks, Mark.
